AVA TELLO

Ava Tello is an artist who has passions for dance, theater, and Latino advocacy. She feels strongly about being motivated in her artistry as well as in her academics. Starting at Impact Dance Center in 2009, she has grown in her work ethic and creativity with the support of her amazing dance teachers, specializing in jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, and pointe. Her love for dance has also developed into a love for choreographing, highlighted in her previous work done for Impact's community showcase and competition team. Through her love for dance also came a love for theater, attending the Orange County School of the Arts as a member of the Acting Conservatory starting in 2020. Through this program, which specializes in voice and movement work, Shakespeare analysis, and camera technique, she has been a part of several of the conservatory's productions, including “Moby Dick,” “Hamlet” and “Mac Beth” as well as acting as the assistant director for their production of “Dearly Departed.” Ava loves to be involved in her school's activities, being a member of the leadership class and Vice President of the Red Cross Club while also acting as a peer tutor for history classes. Her passion for the arts is apparent outside of school, working in various theater apprenticeships and outreach programs that focus on bringing theater and the arts to kids living in Los Angeles's inner cities. As an involved community member, she enjoys teaching dance through the “Inland Empire Future Leaders” program, which provides a space for Latino advocacy and pride among middle school students. Ava continues to work hard in her academics and skills as a performer and artist and hopes to use her art to give back to the community that has supported her throughout her life.
